Literature, in the widest possible sense, has been hewn from our rough sandstone heart.
Let us take you on a journey through these streets of stories.
En route we will encounter great novelists such as J.M. Barrie, Graham Greene and our own D.H. Lawrence and Alan Sillitoe.
We will hear poetry as diverse as the ancient Robin Hood ballads, the verses sold at the foot of the gallows, the romantic poems of Henry Kirke-White, the uplifting verse of Mary Howitt and James Bailey and, of course, the splendour of Lord Byron.

Let our feet memorialise this City of Words.
